What personal data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Our approach

We collect only what we need to run your account, take payments and deliver your messages. We handle personal data in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name or business name, email address and, if you use Google sign-in, the basic profile Google shares with us.
  • Payment records: bundle, amount, payment reference and status. Card and Mobile Money details are entered on Moolre’s checkout and are never stored by us.
  • Messages you send: recipient phone numbers, message text, sender ID, cost and delivery status.
  • Sender ID requests, support chat messages and any notes you send us.
  • Security information: sign-in times and the type of device and browser used, so we can alert you to sign-ins you don’t recognise.
  • API keys: we keep only a scrambled (hashed) version and the first few characters, never the full key.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and to sign you in.
  • To process payments and add credit to your balance.
  • To send your messages through Moolre and show you their status.
  • To review sender IDs, answer support chats and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers that run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Moolre, for payments and SMS delivery to Ghanaian mobile networks.
  • Netlify, which hosts the website, our database and account sign-in.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Authorities, when Ghanaian law or a valid court order requires it.

Your recipients’ data

When you upload phone numbers, you decide who receives your messages and you are responsible for having a lawful reason to contact them. We process those numbers and the message text only to deliver the send and keep your history.

How long we keep it

We keep account, payment and message records while your account is open and for up to six years after it closes, to meet accounting and legal requirements. Support chats and security alerts are kept while your account is open.

Your rights

You can see and update your name and email in Settings. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete your account by writing to us through "Chat with us". If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
